Chapter 7 · Resolution
The Present
What time is it now?
Abstract
The book returns to the cry of the first chapter: this cannot be fixed from where we stand. Greek has two words for time: chronos, time that passes, and kairos, the moment when something becomes possible. The chapter asks which time it is now. Read through the conditions, the cry no longer sounds like the end of a story. It sounds like the point where missing the mark can be recognised, and the question of the first chapter receives its answer.
